The culmination of a 2 year 3 stage extension program was officially opened by Heather Jenkins of Waitrose.

Flatfish originally moved from Murrey Street to its Stirling Street premises in late 2002 having converted the premises from a bakery into a purpose built modern fish processing plant, in 2007 a whole new wing was added accommodating new offices and staff facilities along with a third more production space to accommodate a mechanised filleting and grading section finally in Dec 2009 a further section of production area was added to accommodate a second 40ft Nitrogen freezing tunnel along with a new ultra modern work ware changing and hand wash facility.
